ABOUT US

The Top of the Gulf Country Music Festival is the collective vision of the Port Augusta and Districts Country Music Club, passionate about developing the musicians, singers and songwriters of our community.

Examples of young artists who have come up through the ranks of local festivals are:

Jake Nickolai, from Port Augusta who has signed with ABC and is about to tour America;

Jed Hughes, from Quorn, currently living in Nashville and collaborating with Terry McBride, formerly of McBride & the Ride and already doing great things in the USA.

In 2008, the Festival will celebrate its 15^th year. The event was previously known as the Port Augusta Country Music Festival and the recent name change reflects the growing audience and participant reach and the significantly expanded program being offered in 2008.

The Port Augusta and Districts Country Music Club holds regular dance nights, jam sessions and open mike opportunities to actively encourage young musicians to perform. Check out our upcoming events.
